HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year in spite of coronavirus!

Thanks again to all who participated in the Portal Presentations on video over the Christmas period. 

Scheduling

• Lessons resume promptly week beginning Monday 3rd January 2022
• There are only 11  teaching weeks this term and we break for Easter w/ending 27th March 2022. Please note that there are no lessons in the week prior to the Easter school holidays. Therefore, we break for 3 weeks in total.
• Previously held lesson slot/s will apply this term unless you hear from me or have requested otherwise.  
• Please keep an eye on your calendars as they will update over the next couple of weeks.

Curriculum

• This term, specific emphasis will be placed on the following: 
  • Practical & Theory of Music Exam programs
  • Piano Technique
  • Musicianship skills building:
    • Sight Reading
    • Aural Awareness & Listening 
    • Ensemble
    • Improvistaion
  • Repertoire Building & Exploration:
    • classical
    • jazz & contemporary
    • seasonal 
• There is no concert this term.

Invoices & Fees

• The current fee structure will remain in place for this term.
• I will shortly be sending out invoices for the entire 11-week period.
• Monthly or Termly payments in advance of lessons would be much appreciated. 
• Please review the studio policy here. 

Reminder

I am committed, as always, to keeping lessons as affordable as possible... therefore, the current fee structure and incentives will remain unchanged this term. However please be advised that the fee will increase by £2/hr and by £1/0.5hr after Easter in order to meet the changing needs of the business and re-align with our pre-pandemic rates.

Dear Pupil/Parent,

I trust you are having an amazing 6 weeks with all the extreme weather we've been experiencing.  

Thanks again to all those who participated in the summer concert back in July; you all worked very hard and performed brilliantly. The feedback too was amazing and so very encouraging; I hope we can at least match or indeed exceed audience expectations at the next installment at Christmastime. Thanks you so very much. 

Lessons resume promptly week beginning Monday 3rd September and your previously held lesson slot/s will apply this term unless you hear from me or you've requested otherwise. These are based on Medway Schools' Term Dates.

There are 14 teaching weeks this autumn and I will shortly be sending out invoices in this regard. These are based on Medway Schools Term Dates however this term is a little odd as I will have to be away on /Mummy Duty/ from 5th to 18th November. Therefore I will be teaching during the half-term break. If you are going to be away during the halfterm I am happy to make up this lesson at a later date or beforehand.

This coming term, emphasis will be on Practical & Theory Exam Syllabuses, Music for Halloween initially then a more festive repertory will prevail in preparation for the Christmas Concert. Those wishing to be entered into the examination program will need to purchase the Syllabus piano pieces or graded theory workbooks shortly after we have begun term. I will confirm with individuals then.

Just to say.....

Well done  to all pupils who have returned this term in spite of the new measures thrust upon us due to the corona virus.
