It is well documented how the discipline of  learning to play any musical instrument benefits individuals regardless of age or background. Apart from the obvious improvements to one's fine motor skills and overall coordination, there is also  enhanced concentration and memory retention be found in these individuals.  Advanced mathematical & language skills, greater imaginative thinking and creative exploration can be further attributed to this pursuit.

It is my aim to extract and build on the creative traits in my pupils by using musical performance as a channel through which they can express themselves positively & effectively..🎶

As a practising musician myself, I aim for all my pupils to have the camaraderie, joy and fulfillment that is experienced when music-making  is brought to its highest levels of expression and mastery.

I am reflective and purposeful in delivering my curriculum to pupils and I continue to undergo continuous professional development so that my teaching is relevant and fresh. I aim to cultivate independent musicians who will learn how to approach music-making instinctively.

They will develop a technique that will enable them to cope with the physical demands of playing the piano; indeed that, which will provide the requisite grounding should they choose to embark on a performing career later on in their creative journeys.

They will learn how to read, write and interpret musical score skillfully and with each new musical endeavour, they will continue to grow and evolve.

Through weekly private instruction I provide a bespoke educational experience that is tailor-made to pupils individual needs. I also offer consultation lessons to more advanced pupils who require a safe environment to sound out their musical ideas for constructive feedback usually prior to public performance.

Whatever you do in MUSIC, it is imperative that you are ...AMUSED.....!
